April 2009: Some of the books purchased for our school library are on display as they arrive. These books are geared for elementary and middle schools and include information about scientific inquiry as well as STEM careers. |

Third and fourth grade teachers from Fort Recovery, New Bremen, and Saint Henry participated in a series of Inquiry Based Math professional development workshops in March & April 2009.

COSI at Fort Recovery
7th Grade - Students explore solar power and its renewable uses, creating solar cookers. Cookers were tested by measuring and graphing temperatures and cooking a Pop Tart.
6th Grade - The "Technology Match-up" game, Bioengineering Unit: Designing Model Membranes. Students discover how nature inspires bioengineers to create technologies.
New Bremen Activities
5th Grade - Examining the effects of water on raisins.
5th Grade - Creating a rainforest habitat for a frog with just the right amount of water dripping.
